Fragile (2006)

Synopsis:
A riptide occurs when 2 opposite currents collide. 
"Fragile", a non-conventional tale about a woman going through mid-life crisis and finding self-liberation after an encounter with a photographer who had a strange offer while her husband is on the hunt for a rapist.

Director's statement:
"Fragile" is a film about these times in our lives when sometimes we face a challenging situation which creates 2 conflicting forces within us. We are so used trying to being in control of our lives, but when an unexpected obstacle or riptide comes then we often have this overwhelming feeling of panic rising up within us. I think, what a riptide actually teaches us is to trust in our own ability and our own true natural force. In "Fragile", I tried to capture the inner turmoils of a "Fragile" woman like a reflective and intriguing jigsaw puzzle in a visually arresting, "narratively" inventive, and psychologically enigmatic style.

"Fragile" was part of the official selection at the "SHORT FILM CORNER"- CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2006.

The Wind  of   Al  Amal (2012)

The Wind of Al-Amal  is the first French/US co-production for a feature length documentary about one the largest under-reported refugee crisis in the world today: The Iraqi Refugees.

This multi-layered narrative film, shot in "Guerrilla" visual style, speak about real human stories with a simple truthfulness.Their personal stories echo the hopes not only of an entire generation of Iraqis today but may be also for all the refugees around the world. 

The inspirational feature documentary is produced, written and directed by Fredric Lean.

An action/ drama starring Chinese-American World Kickboxing Champion/ Martial Arts Grand Master/popular actor from Hong Kong , Sifu Vincent Lyn.

The script was penned by Matt Stevens ("Deceptions", "The Risen, The Rising, The Fallen" a fantasy/horror trilogy) based on an original idea by a comic book series created by Fredric Lean.
